The second guest of November in Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was NUROL Construction and Trading Co. Inc. Executive Board Member Bülent Erdoğan. Mr. Erdoğan initiated the conversation with an introductory video showing all the fields of activity of Nurol Enterprise System. He advised the students to first choose their field of interest, then to proceed towards this end devotedly.
Mr. Erdoğan told that they should always have a plan B in professional life, work hard and use their foreign language advantages and highlighted the importance of social circle. He also specified the significance of having acquaintances from different sectors.
Mr. Erdoğan also talked about the investments, projects and other activities of Nurol Construction and Trading Company and stated how finalisation of the projects creates motivation for beginning new ones.
Continuing the conversation by answering the questions of the students, Mr. Erdoğan explained that Chinese and Arabic have become prominent languages in today’s business life due to the development of the construction sector in the Far East. He stressed the challenges of the profession and the importance of finance management. Mr. Erdoğan explained how he started working at Botaş following his graduation in order to gain experience and said that there are lots of female civil engineers in the sector. Finally, Mr. Erdoğan stated that Nurol Construction and Trading Co. Inc. owe its success to expert managers.
