The last guest of March in Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was Erkunt Tractor I.C. CEO Zeynep Erkunt Armağan. Ms. Erkunt Armağan began the conversation by representing herself and mentioned that she is considered as the first female tractor producer in the world. She gave examples of discovering one’s special talents from her own kids.
Zeynep Erkunt Armağan stressed the importance of pursuing a career one loves and advised the students to follow their own targets, not the ones that are imposed by their teachers or families. Ms. Armağan mentioned the rapid transformation of the world and indicated the necessity of managing one’s own decisions which she believes to be an advantage of the new generations.
Ms. Armağan told the students the stages Erkunt Tractor I.C. has gone through since its establishment, specified the new departments and explained the different branches of engineering the company in holds. She explained that Industrial Engineering is a vast area with numerous career opportunities. She also stressed that she faced no challenges as a female manager. Zeynep Erkunt Armağan answered the questions of the students and recommended them to analyse themselves profoundly and read a lot.
