In the seminar titled "From Sketch to the Future" held by MESA Mesken Inc. exclusively for the students of our Faculty of Architecture and Design, MESA Mesken Chairman of the Board of Directors Mert Boysanoğlu started his presentation by talking about his educational background.
Mr. Boysanoğlu, who was accepted to the Architecture Department of Oxford University in 1993, has also received his master's degree from the same university. After returning to Turkey, he founded a software company with his friends in 2001 and started his career at MESA in the post-crisis era.
First appointed as a field architect, Mr. Boysanoğlu later served as business development manager and as a member of the Board of Directors; and eventually as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, which he is currently holding.
Narrating in detail the story of a land's transformation into a building, Mr. Boysanoğlu talked about the process flows such as analysis, feasibility, concept project, design development, application project, and implementation. Mr. Boysanoğlu said that when working on an architectural design, you must always keep in mind who you are doing it for; and emphasized that it is very important for the prospective projects in the future to stand behind the work you have done, not only while producing it, but also after the sale.
Lastly, talking about various future projects such as eco houses, modular houses, and micro houses, as well as their applicability, Mr. Boysanoğlu ended his speech by answering the questions from the students.
