The second guest of November in Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was NUROL Construction and Trading Co. Inc. Executive Board Member Bülent Erdoğan. Mr. Erdoğan initiated the conversation with an introductory video showing all the fields of activity of Nurol Enterprise System. He advised the students to first choose their field of interest, then to proceed towards this end devotedly.
The first guest of November in Conversation with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was Ambassador and Inspection Board Member Ayşenur Alpaslan. She began the conversation explaining how her foreign teachers at TED Ankara College made her discover that there was a different world outside and how that inspired her to involve in foreign affairs.
The second guest of Conversations with Career Pioneers, October was BOEING Turkey General Director and Country Representative Ayşem Sargın. Mrs. Sargın briefly explained her career journey and the different positions she held following her graduation from TED Ankara College and METU Department of Economics.
The first guest of October in Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was MICROSOFT Turkey Deputy General Manager Levent Erkan and Education Sector Manager Anıl Çekiç. Mr. Erkan and Mr. Çekiç began the conversation by mentioning the reputation of Microsoft in Turkey and the world and stressed the importance of sustainability in the sector.
Conversations with career pioneers began with Microsoft Turkey Deputy General Manager Levent Erkan and Coşkun Dolanbay from the Institute of Future Researches within the scope of 2017-2018 Academic Year student orientation program.
The first guest of May in Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was ENOCTA General Director Tijen Armağan. Ms. Armağan began the conversation by presenting herself and getting acquainted with the students. She mentioned that following her secondary education at TED Ankara College and her undergraduate studies at METU Department of Economics, she did not make a really conscious choice concerning her career at first but then recognized her social skills were better and shaped her professional life accordingly.
Rönesans Holding Executive Board Member Zafer Akcasu was our guest in Conversations with Turkey’s Pioneers in April. Mr. Akcasu began the conversation he prepared for the students of our English Language School by representing himself. He stressed the importance of English language in the business life and explained that one out of every four people speaks English which sums up to 1,5 million people out of which only 375,000 are native speakers; meaning that 1,125,000 people have learnt it as a second language.
The last guest of March in Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was Erkunt Tractor I.C. CEO Zeynep Erkunt Armağan. Ms. Erkunt Armağan began the conversation by representing herself and mentioned that she is considered as the first female tractor producer in the world. She gave examples of discovering one’s special talents from her own kids.
The second guest of March in Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers was Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey former President Süreyya Serdengeçti. Mr. Süreyya Serdengeçti, told the students how his career began in Central Bank, that the rules were quiet strict but that all the employees continue their careers in the institution until their retirement. He indicated that he was appointed as the president of the central bank in 2001 during the time of economic crisis and stated that he struggled against the usage of foreign currencies but failed to achieve any positive solutions. Mr.
The first guest of Conversations with Turkey’s Career Pioneers in March was Microsoft Turkey General Manager Responsible for Public Affairs Levent Erkan. Mr. Erkan made an amusing opening with a presentation he compiled from the videos of Ata Demirer and Fatih Terim’s speeches in English.
